Great Progress For The Donkeys…

Most of the time Charity Buddy provides business support to animal welfare organisations, however we sometimes get asked for help in other ways. Not so long ago we put out a request to find a vet who could help one of our clients by health checking the working taxi donkeys of Mijas Pueblo in Spain.

We were successful in finding a volunteer equine vet who is based in Spain, and we can report that she’s been out to see the donkeys, and has been able to check their well-being. The Mijas Donkey Movement Project (MDMP) is a small, not-for-profit organisation, founded by Katy Darlow, a passionate animal lover, totally committed to helping to improve the welfare of the donkeys that are used as taxis by the public and holiday makers in Mijas.

Maria is a qualified equine vet, and the donation of her skills and time are highly valued by the MPMP. It’s great to see the results of our support, and we wish the MDMP every success with their plans for the future. We have other volunteers that have given their time to this project too, from marketing and creative perspectives. Thank you to all the Charity Buddy volunteers that give their time to help animals!
