Many people can’t commit to become a regular charity volunteer. Maybe it’s time constraints, family or financial commitments, working hours, or maybe you haven’t seen an opportunity to suit your skills.
Charity Buddy enables people to help animal welfare organisations to achieve their goals by connecting the two.
You have skills.
There is a real demand for reliable and capable volunteers. Many of the organisations that we support need help from time to time with specific tasks or projects that would cost them dearly in terms of time and money to resource.
You can help.
We will contact you about potential tasks or projects that require your skills. If you can help we will introduce you to the animal welfare organisation. Your personal contribution of time and skill is worth so much to them!
What is it like to volunteer for Charity Buddy?
Amy - Website Designer
Amy is a freelance web designer at her company Two Cows Web. This is what she said about volunteering with Charity Buddy.
“Last year I signed up to be a volunteer with Charity Buddy. They are a fabulous organisation and they allow me to combine my passion for animals with my love of helping others. I offer web design skills for free or pro bono if we’re being fancy. It’s an absolute honour to work with a wide variety of wonderful animal charities and organisations and fixing their websites is my way of helping them out during these challenging times.
I would love to set up my own senior dog sanctuary one day but for now I’m a Charity Buddy and that’s the way I like it! Volunteering your business skills to those who could really do with a bit of advice or guidance is so easy so what are you waiting for?”
Amber - Artist and Creative Designer
Amber has worked on a number of assignments with Charity Buddy since joining us in early 2020. Her projects have included artwork, logos, illustrations and more, and she fits in her volunteering alongside her work at The Crafty Hedgehog Studio.
Amber has worked with many of our clients including a large national animal charity, a donkey welfare project, a hedgehog rescue, and a rabbit rescue and sanctuary. Amber also gave her time and skill to create an original artwork pet portrait to help our recent crowdfunding campaign! Amber said, “It’s fun, and I really love working with all these different animal welfare organisations”
